There is an article on the website of the Industrial Workers of the World (also known as the Wobblies) in support of the NHSBT staff. It claims to have some members in the NHSBT which may be true but, unfortunately, the IWW is not recognised in the union recognition agreement. Nice to have more support though.

I am a registered nurse (retired) with the Mitcham blood collection team based in South London. I am also a Unite (T&G Section) branch chair for the NHS Blood & Transplant Authority Branch. We have a single branch covering drivers and collection team members in the whole of the NHSBT. Members in the Labs are still in former Amicus branches follwoing the mergers of the TGWU and Amicus.
