This is a letter in the Manchester Evening News complaining about our appointments system. I'm sure the situation described will be familiar to many of us on the teams.

I am a registered nurse (retired) with the Mitcham blood collection team based in South London. I am also a Unite (T&G Section) branch chair for the NHS Blood & Transplant Authority Branch. We have a single branch covering drivers and collection team members in the whole of the NHSBT. Members in the Labs are still in former Amicus branches follwoing the mergers of the TGWU and Amicus.
