The Health and Safety Executive has released the written report about the removal of chairs from donor sessions and especially from the pods. The report fully vindicates the union position and we would especially like to thank Phil Bishop for all of the work he did on this.

I am a registered nurse (retired) with the Mitcham blood collection team based in South London. I am also a Unite (T&G Section) branch chair for the NHS Blood & Transplant Authority Branch. We have a single branch covering drivers and collection team members in the whole of the NHSBT. Members in the Labs are still in former Amicus branches follwoing the mergers of the TGWU and Amicus.
